They originally came boxed.

The boxes were generic - the same as the Stingray range - with the name of the relevant character stapled on the front on a separate piece of card.

The four pictured below are housed in facsimile display boxes - lovingly created & assembled by my friend Stewie.

Note: They do not have the name plate.

I don't know how many different characters were made but, in addition to the ones pictured above and below I have seen Virgil & Tin-Tin.
